Gwaman was born in Malumfashi, Katsina State, on August 4, 1973. He graduated from the prestigious St. Joseph’s College Vom n 1991 and holds a degree in Electronic Engineering, an MBA, and a Master of Conflict Security and Development (MCSD). He holds a PhD in Leadership & Strategic Studies from the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) Kaduna. Dr (Engr) Dominic Gwaman Datong has worked in the public sector for 18 years, holding various positions in the Plateau State government.

In his new role as DG of PICTDA, Gwaman is focused on developing the state’s economy, improving its ICT development, and promoting peace and harmony among its people.
